![]() The V800 analog outs sound un-hyped and accurate, but I use them to feed my analog 2-buss if going OTB, while monitoring all digital sources with the Dangerous DAC-ST. My Tascam DV-RA1000HD clock is slaving off the V800 S/PDIF. I use it to print mixes digital-to-digital and it smokes bouncing to disk. Of course, you may disengage this feature, but having it on at the "Best" setting (96Khz, which is optimal for the design) really tightens the center image and harmonic structure. It takes any incoming sample rate, rips it apart, puts it back together with near-zero jitter and forwards the up-sampled/re-clocked signal to both the converter block as well as out of the 'de-jittered' S/PDIF thru to feed a capture recorder, processor, or digital meter. ![]() ![]() The best part of the design is how it up-samples and re-clocks (up to 192Khz). It's about $1100 direct from Lake People, GMBH but it sounds INCREDIBLE.
